Anyone can recommend any good cycling clubs around Epsom in Surrey. I am looking at a personal recommendation rather than a list of clubs.

There are plenty of clubs, here are a few that I would list as possibles, large active friendly clubs that are definetly worth considering as each offers a variety of rides for different styles and abilities; I have known riders from each club for years, fully recommend each.


South Western RC Caters for most riders with a variety of club runs:
Addiscombe CC Huge club run turnout, 100 riders plus not unkown split into several catergories, although they meet at Coulsdon.
Redhill CC, They also have an active ATB section should that appeal
Kingston Phoenix A very traditional club with many active club members


Of those above the Addiscombe probably have more active club riders, followed by the South Western, the Redhill and Kingston Phoenix are smaller, if it is the slightly smaller traditional cycling club you are looking for then the latter three may appeal.

What do you want to get from the club, racing, touring or ??????

Just seen this again.

Fancy a few rides out and about in a group, upping my distance and fitness.

Done a few 30, 40 50 and 60 mile rides and just fallen in love with cycling so just to enjoy myself with fellow addicts.

You dont have to jion a club immediately, try and meet up with fellow cyclists and maybe attend a few diferrent club runs and club evenings to see what appeals to you.

I'm interested to hear where you try and what you think. I've also been recommended Kingston Wheelers who meet in Surbiton every Sunday at 9am, details in this website:

I must add this is only advice and I've not been out with them and probably won't until it warms up a bit.

I think I may try redhill and your suggestion... also there is an Epsom based Tri club I am looking into.

COG - I haven't created it yet. Once I get a spare 5 mins I'll map a route and post it.

Sittingduck - I live Epsom Downs way so Dulwich is some distance. Redhill, Epsom, Kingston are all so much easier to get to.
