Huntingdon is between cambridge and peterborough just of the A1

I know, I live there :tongue: (look left)

I moved to Stukeley Meadows eighteen months ago. I'll do a bit of cycling with you if you want. PM me if/when you want and I'm sure we could work something out.

This is my neck of the woods, where do you ride Zexel? I spend a lot of time riding through Brampton and up to Grafham, from there either towards Perry / St Neots, or Buckden / Offords / Godmanchester etc depending on time.
I like cycling to Grafham reservoir (via the old Brampton Rd) round it and back on my MTB.

Did the 'No Excuses' round there - Lovely place to cycle

Saw the signs and a friend did it but I didn't find out about it until it was too late. Planning to do the next one.

St Neots CC are just down the road from Huntingdon...http://stneotscycling.tumblr.com/ for more info. We've got a couple of members who regularly head out from Buckden.

We're heading out for a long ride this Friday if you want to escape the wedding!

I would love to come but the wife is 39 weeks pregnant at the moment so she has slapped a limit on how far i can go on rides! I'm limited to 20miles at the moment!

Actually went to Grafham Water through Brampton for the first time a few weeks ago with the other half. I cycled round the reservoir while the wife stayed in the cafe. Oh yeah, discovered the Grafham bike shop too. Some nice bikes in there to paw :biggrin:

I have cycled the Godmanchester/Offords/St Neots once before while on my way to London, I do keep forgetting about that route. Most of the cycling I do I go north through Gt/Lt Stukeley, Alconbury Weston and do a circular route that takes me through lots of little villages and quiet roads, virtually up to Peterborough and back round passing Hamerton zoo.

Nath1983,

Good luck!

For when you've a bit more time there always a group meet 8.30 Sunday morning, St Neots Market Square, for a 40-50mile ride.

Yea Grafham have got some nice bikes, with some nice prices too!

I hadn't thought of heading out towards Hamerton, now you've mentioned it I'll give that a go one weekend, I know the roads (and the zoo) well. Glad I asked.

Nath1983;
The Huntingdon, Brampton, Grafham, Buckden, Offords, Godmanchester, Huntingdon circuit is a nice 17-18 mile ride if you're restricted to 20 miles max.
