I've read somewhere on here that there's a good bike book to buy for beginners to learn how to adjust things etc. I can't find where it is so if any of you could recommend a book cheers

The one mentioned above I think is the one that comes most recommended, I'm planning on getting it myself eventually.

For now though I have " Complete Road bike maintaince" by Guy Andrews. It's straight forward to read, but I only got that one because I could stick it on Google Books.

I also like Park's Blue Book
It seems the 3rd edition is out now.

Hi,

Unless your bike is full of the latest technology look for cheap
earlier editions of the above on amazon used, they will cover
everything you need to know (and sometimes better) than
the latest edition do.

A general book and your bike type specific book is a good idea.

rgds, sreten.

Get a cheap clunker

Fix it yourself and realise that you did it all wrong
Once you know the wrong way to do it, it follows that you will then know the right way to do it.

Well, that's kind of the path I took
