Cycling Aviemore

Hi,

I'm planning to go to Aviemore to do a bit of Cycling and was hoping to do the Aviemore to Boat of Garten route on the Speyside Way and also some of the routes around the Rothiemurchus estate.

I'm just in the process of buying a new hybrid bike (Cube Ltd CLS Pro) and was wondering if this would be ok for these routes or is a mountain bike needed.??

Any advice /help would be great.

You'll be fine on a hybrid, no need for a mountain bike.

agree with HJ , the tracks around Rothiemurchus estate are fine , and the speyside way Aviemore to Boat of Garten is good as well ,
the steam train station at boat o garten is well worth a visit , and if it nice weather take time out to sit outside the Boat hotel on the corner nr the station , wi a pot o tea , ( not nearly as expensive as it looks ) . enjoy
