My current subscription expires this month, but I've still not received the latest copy for some reason. Does anyone have it and if so, what is the gift with a new subscription? I have found a deal for 50% off if subscribe for 2 years, so saving around £50. Just wondered what I could get if I wait and subscribe via the magazine. IPC are offering a pathetic 10% off if I go directly through them (stingy sods)
TIA

Yes I saw that and it hacked me off! NO mention of it at all on my renewal letter. So I renew the week before the July issue arrives and then see that offer... feel like I've been had.

yes yes I know. Couple of quid and I would have shrugged my shoulders over it too, but £50 is a different matter!

I had the same letter, but being an utter cynic, I know that current subscribers / members whatever always get shafted, insurance companies are the same! Hence I googled, just renewed for 2 years for £52

My July issue appears to have gone awol! Unless someone at work "hid" it in my pigeonhole which I rarely check

Well, I asked. At first they said 'that offer is not for overseas subscribers'.... but then I quoted that it said 'wherever you live in the world' and gave the offer code. That came up as €70 something which is not the £51.87 1/2 price offer. Anyway, the lady on the phone said she could process that refund straight away though it'd take up to 10 days. Short of it is that I'll be getting something back, sounds more like £30 than £50 but we'll see. Don't know whether I'd accept that as as good as it gets or make a p-in-the-a of myself.

Bit off topic, sorry, but you might have just answered what to get upto with my day off.

Can't be arsed with cycling any more today (already had 15mile ish off road), to late to bother fishing now.

Go to town, get cycling mag(s), find pub garden to sit, read and get drunk in. Superb.

The refund was £44 so a tenner shy of half price. I'll write the difference off to experience... always check the offers before assuming that they are giving you the best renewal deal.

In my experience noone ever gives you the best renewal deal on anything. Car insurance and breakdown cover are classic examples. Couple of phone calls usually saves me a £100 on those two alone.
