Cycling Active free gifts for subscribing

I subscribed to CA in June as the offer was a pair of Shutt bib shorts & about the best gift they had for a while, but have not yet recieved the gift, only a few issues of the magazine, however today my free gift arrived but it's a Giordana Jersey in XL, same size as the bib shorts I ordered. But I think Shutt & Giordana might use different sizing charts as the XL jersey measures approx 19" pit to pit, which may equate to Xl amongst italian cyclists, but not in the UK
I know there is small print saying that they can substitute with another gift, but was wondering if this was regular. Has anyone else recieved an alternative gift, or do you normally recieve the advertised item?
I've emailed to see what they can do, but wont be subscribing again if I'm not happy with the outcome

19" is XL. What the hell does that make me then at 21"!!!!

I've just emailed them to tell them to stick their subscription too.
Subscribed in July when Panniers were the free gift. So far no gift and no magazine although they have managed to take the 1st direct debit. Have rung them a couple of times and it was a case of "Yes sir, you should have had that and we'll send a copy off now". Result still nothing. I've logged on and checked the address they have and that's fine - so that's out as an excuse. Useless!!!

My club kit is made by Giordana and I've got an XL jersey that fits my 42" chest.

Are you sure about that sizing?

On Monday this week the Shutt shorts arrived too & today I recieved an email response from CA. The jersey was an additional gift due to the delay in sending out the shorts. So big thank you to CA & excellent customer service

ps The shorts aren't a good fit either but put the two on ebay & I should get my £21.99 subscription fees back
