went out today to Maidstones "river festival" with my daughter and my 2 grandchildren in their double pushchair, alas the P*&^%$£e fairy descended on the pushchair, daughters pump was no good so dropped in to cyclesuk (who are hoping to sell me my bike next week ) and the wonderful staff in there went outta their way to help us and fixed it (had to have a new tube) very impressed with them , got a gel saddle cover and waterproof cycling jacket in lidls very good i think,, jacket has reflective details and a handy rear pocket- however they are almost sold out of cycling stuff , reckon the word got round real quick .

CyclesUK are a very good bike store (chain) in my humble opinion.

Just went to sportsdirect in watford to buy a bike pump - not a single one in the whole store. In fact not any bikes or bike accessories at all. It was just 2 floors of clothes. Some nice clothes though.

Must have been an off day - according to their website:

Meh - I was just excited that there's another cycle shop near me that isn't Halfords.

Sports Direct are great for cheap clothing etc, but honestly I wouldn't use them if you are 'serious' about any sport.

CyclesUK are a very good bike store (chain) in my humble opinion.

Like any bike shop, it's the staff that makes it good. Can't say I've been overly impressed with my local branch though from what I've seen....
