Selected bike on monday lunchtime boss did paper work in afternoon. Invoiced Tues, paid by BACS Tues. Voucher Wed morning, picked up bike Thurs lunctime WELL IMPRESSED, even the lbs had never had such a quickie.

Trek 6500, to add to my Ridgeback Flight T3 commuting bike + Kuota road bike so think I've got all aspects covered and I'm too old (scared) for the serious downhill stuff

I thought mine was good at 11 days from quote to ride - top marks for your boss!

Mine's going to take just over a month from choosing the bike to getting the voucher I think. Such a slow process here. They have a cut-off date for applications (end of the month) and then they don't send the forms on until the 3rd July. We get the vouchers just after payday usually, which is the middle of the month.

We are getting this gorgeous weather and I have no bike to take out. Keep having to go running instead, which isn't as much fun!

Voucher delivered to me 30th October.
Bike ordered 30th October.
Bike delivered March 25th (apparently 15 inch Marins are difficult to source).
Bike stolen June 22nd
...and I still have to pay for it until October

That's a quick turn round..... once work was invoiced, it took a couple of weeks for them to pay it (folk on holiday and I was the 'first' one on the scheme), but CTW had the voucher with me next day after the CHAPS payment. Then off to bike shop, confirm spec, and wait about 4 weeks - custom build though !

Ouch, You did get it insured? I guy from work had a Marin for 3 days before it was nicked, 2 d locks too, ouch.

I ordered my bike before getting the vouchers so it only took me a 7 days to get my bike, I am so sorry to here about your bike Techgirl I hope it was insured!

Nope I was an idiot and did not insure it .
Managed to find the same bike but a model down on Gumtree at the weekend so I am not completely bikeless now.

But I have learnt my lesson.
As soon as I can rejoin the Cycle to Work Scheme though I will get another one!
