On the road to nowhere
I'm family free this afternoon so I thought I'd go for some retail therapy. Can anyone tell me of any good cycle shops I've missed:

M.Steeles gosforth
KB cycles, Newburn
Edinburgh cycles, byker
Giant (bicycle repair man) Prudhoe
Evans Metrocentre
Cycle surgery Metrocentre - although tiny, expensive and ignorant staff

I've seen Start cycles mentioned, Scott (mmm) and Cannondale dealer, among others

Yupp start will be the best independant shop id think thats in town, if you want to travel abit further afield there is cycle world in sunderland and another smaller one over the road i cant think of its name, chester lee street has the flagship cycle world along with cestria cycles that is a small independant shop but rammed with products like an alladins cave, team cycles at the team valley which is just outside gateshead and durham has a few if you can travel that far

Well I definately won't be returning to M.Steeles. What an ignorant lot.

The place was empty and there was 3 staff at the front desk. Simply put I was ignored for the 20 minutes I was in there whilst they chatted. They didn't even greet me as I walked in or turn as I walked out.

Must be the snobby, I am/we work for Joe Waugh attitude.

On the flip side, I went into KB Cycle where I was greeted, they were happy to help if and when required and we struck up general conversation which another member of staff joined in. I walked away £50 lighter and with a New Jersey and few tubes.
