Cycle shoe weight

Couldn't find anywhere else to post this but I've just got some dmt radial 2 carbon shoes and in the reviews they were saying how light they were and you can really feel how much easier it is to pedal with the reduced weight.

However they seem to weigh a ton compared to my old muddyfox road shoes? Are road shoe supposed to weight more than say a pair of trainers? Lovely shoes though look very pricey and came with lots of nice goodies including thermo mouldable soles and the sole is stiffer than anything I've ever testedtested

Does it not balance out, by what comes up must go down.

Cheaper to lose a pound off the belly than a pound off the bike, or shoe for that matter.

Do you have a kitchen scale? If so, weigh them!

Drill lots of holes in them as that will make them lighter, do no wear in the rain though.

Yes! some cycling shoes are heavier than some trainers.

Well you are not comparing like with like, if you want light why not go for a pair of Crocs.
