Nothing too serious... only a couple of weeks back cycling and put in a 40miler on saturday ( a fair bit for me!). Experiencing a little tightness and the back, inner top of my legs. Common? Any suggestions to prevent it or aid recovery?

A few stretching exercises after cycling would help you.Make sure you stretch your back, thighs and calfs just as you would do in other sports.You can also do this before cycling. It will help.

It's common once you start doing longer distances. As and when you've got a few miles under your belt, you should 'adjust'.

Gentle stretching after each ride will help. Don't overdo it ie. force the stretch and it should make a big difference.

Note to self: Follow your own advice!
