Cycle Machine ... what size bolt please

Hello

I hope somebody can help.

I bought a Crane Power H7 exercise bike from Aldi quite a few years ago, which was lent to a friend a few months ago.

Now it has come back broken

The handlebars are loose and to make matters worse, the bolt is missing.

Does anybody have one of these machines, maybe with a manual and could tell me, what size thread the bolt should be. It used to be bolt which could be tightened with fingers, but I'll just have to buy a normal bolt now.

If this is just a C clamp around the bar, almost any bolt will do.

While you could get the propper one from a bike shop, any bolt that'll fit will do.

If you can fit into your car, take it to a local engineers supplies (or b and q) and they'll get a bolt to fit and will also be able to get a handle to suit, so you can hand tighten it again.

Although I don't know if the m/c would be worth the hassle or expense.

There's a captive nut in there so you only need to bolt. I have a similar setup on my lawn mower and that is adjustable by hand. The bolt is fixed to a hand wheel.

Personally I'd just bolt it up, after all do you need to change it a lot?

Take that part toa lawn mower supply and tell them what you want.

I would point out to said "mate" and get them to fix it ,my dad was just as bad for borrowing stuff and breaking them.

Thanks ! 'Said mate' was actually a mate of my wife but point taken.

Personally I don't borrow things, as I would be too scared they got broken while with me. Don't worry, my wife has had the lecture .... think I'm on the floor tonight though.
