hi everybody, just another quick question.

i recently moved my computer sensor & magnet to my back wheel so it would work on my trainer.

does it matter where on the wheel i place the sensor & magnet? in relation to it producing an accurate mph indication?

it's just surely the inside of my wheel travels slower than the outside of the wheel, i think at the minute it's just more than the center, (closer to the outside than the inside) i tried to copy the way my local bike shop placed it on my front wheel.

also how do i get around the problem of me keep having to move it from my back to front wheel when i go out on the road or back on the trainer?

will i just have to buy 2, one for the front & one for the back? i dont really fancy having 2 displays strapped onto my handlebars.

thanks for your help in advance..

Buy a Cateye strada, wired or wireless (wired is obv cheaper). Then it goes on the back wheel full time, with the added benefit of cadence.

On the turbo ive never bothered with speed, as it doesnt really compare to actual riding, ive just used a HRM and stop watch.

It wont matter where you put it, it counts the number of times it passes rather than how quickly it passes,
(hope that makes sense) thats why you put in the circumference of the wheel.

The only difference position will make is distance from the sensor possibly and how short the magnetic pulse is due to speed of passing the sensor. This probably doesn't matter unless it's a particularly cheap computer.
Just stick it half way down.
