Cycle 2 Work LOC Value

Hello, first post. I'll introduce myself in the appropriate section later today.

I'm taking part in my companies C2W scheme which is run by Halfords. I have a £600 LOC but would like to spend £617. The bike changed after I applied for the LOC so I found myself with £140 for accessories.

The LOC clearly states that "No additional monies can be added to the value of this LOC"

Will Halfords allow me to pay the £17 extra or do I need to adjust my spend to below £600?

Anyone got any actual experience of this with Halfords please?

Not bought a bike on any scheme but i would say yes, i overheard the lbs(halfords) assistant with a guy who was getting a bike through the shceme and he said you can add money to it and if the bikes under a certain amount you can take accessories to the value of your voucher.

Picked up bike no trouble at all. "That'll be £16.95 to pay sir, cash sir, no problem."

I know Halfords are a bit Marmite round these parts but I have nothing but praise for the service so far.

As for the bike. Whoa! I've been riding an ancient Claude Butler Pagan MTB for the last 20 yrs. The Boardman is a complete eye opener compared. I can feel the texture of the road through the bike! Potholes are however a chuffin nightmare!
