Hi all,

I've posted a couple of times regarding joining the local cycling club and i think i'm getting to the point where i could (hopefully) keep up with their easier paced run.

however, it is on the weekend and currently i commute to work 3 or 4 times each week (i'm doing 31 miles a day with hills as fast as i can possibly go).

Anyway, by the weekend i'm knackered so am now thinking,

1) Do i need to get to the point where i can cycle all week and still have stuff left in the tank for the weekend?
2) Cut back on the number of times i commute during the week so i have stuff left in the tank for the weekend?
3) Don't worry about it and just join and grin and bear it?

what do you think???

Try to take some of your commutes a little easier and see if that helps?
The speed difference between "as fast as you can go" and "quite fast but not flat out" or even "fast but comfortable" is surprisingly small, but the effort involved is much less.
