Curious... pre 1960's Philips Bike

I'm not looking to purchase this bike (it is reasonably local to me though), just after a little more information...
all I have worked out so far is that it is a pre 1960's Philips bike.

Anyone know anything more please?

All I can tell you is that these were popular in the fifties and sixties, maybe even before then. The mudguards don't look original. You've got to buy it if only for the sign! Looks in reasonable condition.

£25 only, wonder what it'd fetch on the "bay" not that I'd buy it, I've never sold a bike yet which probably explains why there are 11 ready to ride at any time and a project (one that's stalled a bit due to the leg) cluttering up the house and sheds.
At least I'm managing to ride my new Trike, doing between 3-5 miles a day ( an hour or so)
