Bit of a dilemma. I can't go to a store to test the sizing of this bike as there are no local shops that stock both sizes I'm having trouble choosing.

I'm 5'11.5" and just 6' on a good day with roughly a 32.5" inseam so am having difficulty deciding if I should go with a 56cm or 58cm frame.

Does anyone have an attain 2016 with any advice?

TIA

Usual advice if you can't try a bike out is to go smaller rather than bigger if in between sizes, easier to make a bike bigger than smaller if required

Can the local stockists not get hold of one for you to try? Or what have they advised?

Cube size smaller, I have 2 friends who ride a Cube both have sized up. You are in between sizes with other brands but not with Cube so if you can't get to sit on one to try then buy the 58cm.
Cube suggest 5ft 9"- 5ft 11" for a 58cm frame!

I read Cube sorted out their sizing for the 2016 bikes. Is this not true and they are still slightly on the smaller side?

They can but the wait is 1 - 2 weeks (need a bike honestly right now) and they will charge for both. Being a student I can't have £1.3k out of my account for no good reason. Refund will be done on the spot but it may take up to 2 weeks to reach my account when it comes out instantly...

My friend bought a brand new Cube in October, it was in the sales and heavily reduced in price therefore I presume it is a 2016 model. He is 5ft 8" and after advice bought in store, the frame is 56cm and fits him great. Almost any other brand you would size him on a 53cm/54cm.

Thanks this is good to know. More info to point me to a 58cm. I've gone ahead and put an order in for 58cm. Hopefully it'll be the right size for me.

I'm sure it'll be fine. I'd always go bigger than smaller.

I’m 2 inches taller than you and I ride a 58 CUBE Attain GTC PRO Disc, 2016 model . However, I have put on a longer, 120mm stem and there’s a fair bit of seatpost showing. According to the geometry chart I should have been on a 60cm, but the head tubes on these bikes are tall and I didn’t want 222mm of HT as I would have been too upright. Even on the 58cm I run no spacers beneath the stem. I think you’ll be fine on a 58.

THank you for the reassurance! Reason I went with the 58cm was for the taller headtube. Want a more upright position so thought 58cm would be a better choice.

Oh also are those the cube mudguards? If so, how are they at keeping gunk away from the components? Planning to get myself them.

So my 58cm is coming on the 30th but I have decided I will take a train from Kings Cross to go up to Cambridge to test the 56cm and 58cm. If the 56cm is better, I'll take that home and return the 58cm when it delivers.

I just bought a bike from CRC , the recommended rider heights seem to be wrong on there charts .

I also have a Cube agree gtc size 58 and it is smaller than the Attain size 56 , looks like Cube Attain are more like Cannondale sizing now where you size down .
