Cruiser bicycle clubs in the U.K.

I am on this forum regularly but I really want to meet up with other people who have specific interests in Beach Cruiser/Cafe racer/ retro type bikes and so on. There are a few chopper clubs but this would be my 2nd choice as I would stand out like a sore thumb with my Cruiser bikes. There are a fair few shops/websites you can purchase these bikes from in the UK, so it stands to reason the people who own them might be part of a club somewhere. Before anyone suggests Chopaderos I have already tried lol. Its like a biker gang, you cant just sign up, you have to meet and then be invited, get a patch etc (like on Sons of Anarchy) but since it seems there are only 2 UK members and they are both live in the North East of England somewhere then its pretty pointless for me to pursue this any further :-).

I love my Electra Ghostrider - it'd be lovely to ride around slowly with some people and look at other cool bikes.

sounds good, am getting a good vibe about this. Maybe if enough ideas bounce around we can get a bit of a following and all join up somewhere or maybe get the moderators on here to create a sub-forum for Cruisers (maybe Choppers too :-)).

I love all the bikes. I did so much agonising research before I found what I wanted. I would have bought a Nirve, Schwinn, Electra, Felt etc etc as well if I could have afforded them :-)

Hopefully we can build up this thread with some ideas as you are right it would be nice to meet up at a rural pub, maybe ace cafe (random examples) and have a chat, bite to eat, shandy etc
