just installed my new crud roadracer mk2 gaurds, and what a fiddley job it was, seems to be a bit wobble at the very end of the rear gaurd, is that normal?

Putting on mudguard is always fiddly, Crud Road Races are no worse than others, you can always leave off the end bit of the rear guard, I have taken it off...

I've used the shorter one as well. The only time when the long one will be needed is for group rides and it only takes a minute to switch the tails.

these guards didn't fit my Focus Cayo

A tip for anyone who can't get them to fit and wants their money back:

Send them to Mr Crud (unused but attempted to be fitted ie. the pack is open) and he'll send you a new unopened pack that you can return to the retailer for refund

I struggled to get mine rub-free,gave up in the end and put my Raceblades back on,so much easier to fit and removable in seconds too.
Have kept the front mech protector bit from the cruds though, used cable ties to keep it in place, not exactly good looking now but it works well.
May have another go in the future,I can see a dremel or similar being needed to shape the bits that go under the brake calipers, can't be bothered at the minute.

I agree, extremely fiddly little buggers to get on. The front guard fouls quite badly on the brakes on mine (Specialized Secteur Sport with Tektro brakes fitted after a warranty problem). I have removed the front section of the front guard as a result.

It is very nice to keep dry on wet roads but the guards are noisy - bumpy roads lead to lots of clattering about. I will keep them on for the winter but will be taking them off as soon as the weather picks up around April/May. I hate riding with mudguards but they are a necessary evil at this time of year.
