Sorry its yet another question from me, when I decided to buy a bike I thought it would be so easy, choose a bike, buy a bike and then ride the thing, two months on I relise that its a minefield out there. ;)(to the point that its almost put me off). Trouble is I want to make sure that this time I don't make the same mistake as last time and buy a bike shaped object.

I am kind of rethinking what bike to get I had pretty much chosen my bike but now I am not sure.

When I am looking at bikes I notice that some have a high ten steel fork where as some are cro mo, I know that Cro mo is better so the I am excluding all bikes with Hi Ten steel forks, but is it a good enough reason to exclude a bike and why is cro mo better? I particularly like the look of the Trek T30 which I didn't know existed until my local LBS started stocking it recently.

Again sorry for all the questions

Thanks

Avoid Hi-tensile steel if you can possibly help it, Chromoly is stronger which means they can use less of it which in turn means that your bike will be lighter. Chromo, also, by virtue of it's reduced wall thickness gives a more forgiving ride.
