Oh I hate that!!! Having a dodgy neck and back, I always try and 'warm up' a bit by stretching before I even attempt getting out of bed.

You will be in agony for hours ........ unless you get someone to give you a nice massage.

My sister had this problem some time ago. Believe it or not, she went to the doc who just got hold of her head with both hands and pulled it straight. Freed up the muscles and all was well again.

Actually, neck problems are usually related to the traps (muscles that go out towards the shoulders). heat wraps and rest is what you need.
