I'm thinking of buying this bike for my wife. She's got a thing for purple.

I just wanted your thoughts on it. She's quite happy just pottering about on the bike, commuting to work (6.5 miles a bit of bridlepath), that sort of thing.

I'm generally not a great fan of women's (or should that be ladies's) bikes but that one is rather fetching. I would happily ride around in a dress on that (which would astonish people in Kendal - it almost made the local paper when fellow councillors saw me in a dress for the first time - last year and so far unrepeated ) and the gears should take the sting out of any hills encounter en route.

It looks pretty nice, doesn't it?
It makes me want to be a girl, just so I can ride it!!

Mount and charger for mobile phone should seal the deal.

Well, after much pondering I went for the caferacer for her.
Final price (with an extra 10% off) was £520, which I think is pretty good on a bike with RRP of £800.
