Get the Park one - doesn't have a handle as you can use a big spanner !

It has interchangeable 'rotating ends' that will remove square taper and splined.

THe rotating ends means the screw rotates, but the bit that contacts the axel doesn't - hence less possibility of damage. The park one is about £15 - but worth it.....you can screw up threads with a crap one - I nearly did recently !

yeah, i've got one of those. it certainly does square taper and hollowtech 1 (you need the end bit for hollowtech to enlarge the diameter of the pusher otherwise it will just go straight through being as they are hollow! you'll see what i mean when you do a hollowtech one with it)

It is a pity about Park's prices at the moment, but they do make good kit. They also have good after sales service. On the two occasions where I've broken tools I emailed Park and was sent replacements from the USA. In an ideal world nothing would ever break, but good after sales is the next best thing.

TBH - I paid about £12 for my Park extractor. - Only a couple of months ago.

It's the only bit of Park stuff I have, most is either Shimano or Campag.... and a half decent rivet extractor (not sure who but it's good)....

I got an icetoolz one for about a fiver that takes an 8mm alen key and is a most satisfying tool to use and beautifully made and engineered.

I have a BBB crank puller, which is very similar to the Park one (without the handle) but cheaper. It does have a problem though: it is supposed to fit both square taper and splined interfaces by removing or using the 'plug' at the end. Unfortunately, in square taper mode (i.e. plug removed) the interface is still slightly too wide and gets stuck in the crank. I have filed it down a bit but it needs more work. My advice is to not buy the BBB tool.
