I've got a Lenovo G50-30 with a 2.16GHz CPU.
There is a Lenovo G50-80 with a 1.7GHz CPU on ebay.
In both cases this information has come from the BIOS screen.
The G50-80 is a higher spec machine so why has it got a slower processor?

I think the Lenovo G50-30 has a Celeron processor, which is inherently less powerful than the i3 Pentium in the G50-80. Although the speed is less, the power is more - if that makes sense ?

That’s just the clock cycle speed, the latter can do more per cycle. But unless the CPUs are throttled it doesn’t really matter.

The G50-80 won't run Windows 11 !!

If the computer was a horse think of the clock speed as the oats and the processor type as the number of legs it has.

You were Fast to come up with that observation...

Yes, very much so. You stride up to her, confident in your power, turn her on, issue commands, and hope for a great result! And hope. And hope. And then you discover a bug in your software and suffer an unplanned reboot!

I had better not put it up here (unplanned pun!) but I just found a clip of Swiss Toni discovering the Internet!

I thought that I had watched all episodes of The Fast Show but maybe I missed a few?
