What goes in yours ?
Its a fairly basic (but delicious) recipe,we both indulged tonight
My wife complains because i like mushrooms in it, i love it, gives a wonderful extra flavour...that and topped with cheese (which we both like tbf)

Is that that unusual ?, given half a chance, id have a dash of worcestershire sauce as well.

Mixed beans usually but sometimes lentils, with carrots, parsnips, mushrooms, onion. I will often top it with a mixed mash of potato with swede or celeriac.

My mouth is watering now, that’s tomorrow’s tea decided.

Greasy boiled minced beef with diced carrots covered in unseasoned mashed potato... MIL made this for us the first time I met her and I forced it down... that's all she made for more than 20 years...

It haunts me still.

• 70g onion
• 70g cannellini beans
• 70g carrots
• 70g mushrooms
• 140cc stock from veg
• 5g oil
• 5g Bovril
• 7g flour
• 15g tomato puree
• 5cc Worcester sauce
• 1.5cc rosemary
• 0.3cc black pepper

Top

• 100g potato
• 100g parsnip
• 90g cannellini beans
• ¾ egg
• 0.6cc salt
