As above.... anyone doing this? or have done before?

http://www.cotswoldspringclassic.co.uk/

Looking to complete a 100 mile event in 2012 and attempt a few others to build up to it. Ideally, i'd rather a nice event/course - rather flat if possible and quite happy to travel a bit.

Any feedback on this one, much apppreciated.

Cotswolds means big hills. Some real killers in that part of the country. Check the route carefully before entering.

... have a look at www.shakespeare100.org.uk - we have a 100km on 1 April and then a 100mile (or 100km) on 9 September - the two events use a blend of the same routes - in the Cotswolds but not the "hills for the sake of it" sort of route. There's a ride report on the website that might be useful to get a feel of the mix of flat, undulating and the odd hill that forms the terrain.

Thanks Rob! Just had a look and despite it being a little further (approx 2 and a bit hours to get there), it looks like a great event!

Would be really good for me to complete 100kms around April/May, especially at such a nice event with the aim of doing 100 miles later in the year. Are many other CC'ers attending?

Hi I'm doing this one to use as a build up to the Dartmoor Classic, great ride this one, also doing the Exmoor Beauty a few weeks later. We will be the girls in pink!

I did the cotswold spring classic in 2011, having never cycled more than 50km before, it was a shock, I'm doing it again this year with the aim of completing the course with a much better time than in 2011!

AFAIK we have quite a few riders from here ... but then we have their real names, not the nicknames on here so we can't be sure! We have a limit on numbers and places are going fast ... we expect to close entries well before the day.
