Costco full carbon £750

Spotted this in costco r500 wheels ful carbon frame and forks and full 105 groupset

Looks a decent bike, but the £750 is ex VAT

With the VAT at £900 it's still pretty decent for a full carbon bike, but not quite as good as the trade price.

Unfortunately I can't justify a new road bike at the moment, when I don't really ride my current one much (it's currently installed on the turbo).

What are the benefits of a cheap carbon bike over a similar priced aluminum bike ?

Weight and ride comfort normally.

It should be lighter, and the ride should be less harsh. Probably less difference then people tend to make out though.

Cheap carbon is not light as light as a good ally. maybe a softer ride but then most ally bikes have carbon forks.

I had a good ogle one of these a while back while stocking up on vegetable oil and wasn't impressed with the frame finish, most notably rough edges and traces of sprew around the head tube. I wouldn't buy one.

I did get excited at their Ferrari folding bikes though for £299. They were selling for over £600 on eBay so I bought 2 and made an easy 400 notes profit in a few days.

Finish looked pristine on this one i checked all the parts ect although it was assembled terribly but probably just the muppets at costco at fault there

Not a proper 105 groupset. FSA brakes.
