Hi there ,have recently bought a correra valour mtn bike. In the six months iv owned it have had it back to the shop about ten times , first it was the gears then the breaks. Then the gear cable snapped ,then the breake pads
wore out just after i brought it back home !? in all ive had the pads changed 4 times now . I cant help thinking that they are trying to get money out of me . What do you think?

What type of brake pads are you using?
do you do a lot of high speed downhill riding resulting in heavy use of the brakes?
are your brakes binding, can the wheels spin freely when lifted off the ground?
There are dozens of different brake pads available for both disc and rim brakes, the quality and longevity of your pads will depend on how much you want to spend.

Many thanks.I do a lot of downhills but nothing to fast or hard ,mainly on the roads.
I have a mnt bike because you get less punctures with the chunky tyers. My last bike was a Tounsend
and it needs new shockers now cos its so old but i didnt need to change the pads so often, the guy at the shop says
that the only pads they can put on are the ones im using now ,so i better get quality pads and spend a little more
money. Thankyou Steve
