Hello,
I do not live near a dealer with a stock of Specialized bikes to try for size so I have to do a bit of asking! Also there is a 2nd hand one for sale 50miles away, which is close enough for me.It is a 56cm frame.
I am 6'2" and was riding a Large frame Giant Defy2 and seemed to fit nicely.
Specialized tell me that the Tricross frame I need is a 58cm (XL?)
My Rockhopper is a L frame and seems to fit good.
Some people of my height say 56cm is ok.
Any advice appreciated, and more so from a 6'2" tricross owner!

I'm 5'11" and ride a 56cm Specialized Secteur - fair enough not a Tricross... but I have my saddle very nearly at the full extension limit. I would think a 6'2" rider would need a 58cm Specialized frame.

There is no right size for any height. I'm 6'4 and I bought a 61cm Tricross and it fits ok. When I bought another bike recently, I was measured and was told that a 62cm would be ideal for me. My boss is also 6'4 and rides a 58cm Spec. Roubaix. It really depends on your body e.g. leg, arm and torso length. I would start by looking at the 58cm, but measuring your inside leg length would make it more accurate.

Im about 5-11. I ride a 56 secteur (and roubaix) and they fit me perfectly.

I also have a 56 Tricross, and I feel Im the smaller size it woud be suitable for. Its OK on road, bit a bit too big to grab and man-handle on trails.

I would say you are at the top end of what a 56 would fit, but you would fit.

I guess you are not near Birmingham?

the defy 2 in large ( which is a compact frame) is the equivalent to a 58/60cm frame in standard. so specialized are correct.
