Cool helmet needed for Cruiser bikes - advice please

Hi All No offense to anyone as I am sure this subject has been done to death but I am looking for a nice helmet to purchase, not one of those racing or MTB ones. I have a couple of retro style cruiser bikes and want a nice fashionable yet functional and safe helmet to wear, so I can look cool and still be protected. I have been looking at the Bern helmets and also Casco and was wondering if anyone could give me a review of either, also if there are any others out there. Pro-tec seems ok too but I am more looking at the Bern and Casco for now. I am not interested in those Yacko ones or whatever they are called :-) Thanks in advance.

What about a piss pot style helemt? Though have to say my Mrs wears here Roller Derby piss pot on the bike and to me it looks like it would cause more harm!

I also like this cork one (see link), looks great, but not sure about how safe it is. would buy it but not sure if it was ever made for production, thats ideal :-).

Personally I HATE the ones that just look like a dome, so anything with a bit at the front is a thumbs up from me!

The likes of Troxel used to do some cool looking helemts but I don't now see them on their website. Also those are Horse riding helmets anyway so most of theor range look about as bad as the aforementioned 'Domes'

Yes I hear what you are saying. They seem to be horse ones but I have seen them on bike sites only. I went on the casco site and the bike ones look the same pretty much as the horse ones, so I guess they are popular with both activities.

Anyway I dont want to spend the money just to look like a total tool but then I dont want one of the racing style helmets either, i would rather go without.

Thanks for the help but I have finally managed to get the one I want. I gave up on the Casco as the dealers are bad at replying to enquiries, so I went overseas. I mailed a place in the USA this morning, they replied at 2pm and by 2.30 I had bought it and its being shipped out tomorrow, so quick.

Plus its a helmet I think they dont make anymore, so I got it cheaper than what I would have paid for it in my size in the UK. Its also the snowboard one, which you can take out the ear bits so it becomes a summer helmet.

Its a Bern Watts Helmet, Matt Carbon EPS. There are some available in the UK but very few and only in Large that I can see.
