Hi all,

This is my first post and I'm hoping someone can help me out (or at least point me in the right direction)

I have an old GT Avalanche that I want to convert to a single speed for the sole purpose of using it down the bike track with my 4 year old son now that he has discovered the fun of bumps and humps (his words not mine)
so what I need to know is how easy is it as my skills don't go much beyond changing tires and such
And how expensive will it be

Cheers in advance

It's not difficult but you have to get a few things right or you will land into trouble.

It can be quite cheap to do it if you are prepared to convert existing stuff, ie crankset. Bike would look better with new components though
