Converting 10 speed wheel into single speed

Hi guys,

So... unfortunately someone drove into the back of my single gear bike and bent the rear wheel out of shape! very annoying! However, I was wondering whether it was possible to use one of my spare wheels from my race bike which has a 10 speed shimano free hub on and convert that into a single speed hub?

I hope this makes some sort of sense

What's the width of the rear forks on your SS ? If a track frame it will be 120mm? Your 10 speed will be wider.
