I've made the same mistake with mine before now

For those of you with the original Contourhd, there is new firmware out for it that allows adjustment of brightness, contrast, bit rate and metering modes just like the newer 1080p Contourhd. This goes a long way to meeting some of the criticisms I and others here made earlier this year about overdark video.

There's also a new handlebar mount, although it doesn't fit oversize bars.

i won't be making the same mistake again

I've not had a chance to play with the custom settings but hopefully i can have a little fiddle later this week.
