I know they're not regarded as a top notch tyre, but have got to say how impressed I am with the Conti Ultra Sport's!
Found them on Wiggle for £12.41 each for the Kevlar beaded folding version. Easy to get on to the rim too, with minimal use of the tyre levers.
First impressions (on a dry ride) are that they offer impressive levels of grip over the Vittoria's previously fitted. Guess I'll have to wait to find out how durable they are, but so far, I would certainly recommend them to anyone who cannot, or doesn't wish to justify spending £35-50 on a tyre..........especially for winter use!
