This is the standard tyre on the Day One Xbike.

What can I expect
  • on the road
  • on snow
  • on ice?
I asssume performance in mud and the loose stuff generally will be superb.

On the Road they will be slower than slicks

On ice you can expect to crash.

On snow you can expect to bog down, then crash.

With the weather we've got at the moment, take them off and stick a set of marathon winters on. They really are an astonishingly good tyre.

They are a cyclocross tyre and should be fine for riding on snow, obviously without studs they won't offer any benefit on ice.

I'm not convined by Speed kings (in any size).

I would say that NO tyre unless it's studded with tungsten carbide studs will be any use on ice!

Fresh snow should be OK, and as far as I know these tyres are 'OK' on the road, obviously not as good as a slick.

I'd use them for CycloX and not muchn else.
