Anybody who uses Continental Gatorskins, JE James has an absoloute bargain in Cycling Weekly this week on the bottom left of the reverse page of the cover, only £1119.99 each, reduced from £26.95 with a saving of about £5, I think thats a pretty fair price. ??????????????????????????

(I've not got the paper with me at the moment so I might have the price wrong, it could be £1199.99, but even so a cracking price)

£1199.99 ? I'd want two for that.

Attached to a nice road bike

Am I the only one puzzled by this:

There is a clue to understanding it in my posting which makes it simple to understand.

And to make it understandable for you , If you had a current copy of "Cycling Weekly", mentioned in my original posting, you would see that the advert for the mentioned tyres has been mispriced at £1199.99 along with my sense of humour in the posting added. If it had been a genuine "Bargain" then I would have posted it in the "Have you found a bargain" thread.

Now I know why I do not bother posting much in any forums I am a member of these days, some people just do not read what has been posted correctly or not even bother reading an entire thread and just comment on the last few postings.

Ive read the whole thread and only after your last post do I understand what is going on. Forums have various different members of various different understandings. What one person writes can be interpreted completely differentley by someone else; so maybe it is YOU who should be more clearer in what your point is.

I'll see if Microsoft do a font which uses pictures instead of letters, might make things clearer for those who cannot read properly.

Puzzle game procrastinator!
It seemed pretty clear to me - a totally silly (incorrect) price not caught by any proofreader, and pointed out by Zak.

If I was a rich bastard, instead of wasting my money on a personalised number plate (for a car I don't own), I'd prefer to waste it on buying a pair of those tyres at that advertised price. Then when a.n.other rich bastard was boasting about how much cash he'd paid for his reg. no. SEX 1[sup]*[/sup], I could tell him that was nowt - I'd paid over 40 times the going rate for a pair of pushbike tyres!

[sup]*[/sup]A number which I actually saw on a Ferrari parked outside Victoria station in Manchester!
