Got my connecting Leeds newsletter for Feb 2025 this morning and this scheme is highlighted for public consultation, I don't cycle in the area super regularly but I do have rides that go through it. The Pontefract Road improvements look very good, lots of cycle segregation though still some areas to be mindful such as the shared areas when crossing bus stops. The Jumbles Lane/Carlton Lane junction looks like they're addressing a local rat run problem, with access being closed and redirected.

If you cycle in the area do have a look at the plans and comment, it's rare but nice to be asked IMO.

It's two road consultations in one - I saw it last week and commented.

Fairly sensible changes imo however once M1 J44 is reached then what? The A639 on the other side of the junction is a scary place to ride.

"Cyclists rejoin carriageway" is the rather blunt answer we find to that question once you cross that roundabout.
