Some comments from another site. Did these not work?

Which ebike manufacturer as you might be able to narrow down who manufacturers the connectors - unless they are some sort of chinese copy.

I have a very similar connector between the rear wheel hub motor and controller, same location.

Also have to undo it to get the rear wheel off. Just make sure you’ve fully undone it all the way to the end and that the 2 threads are free from each other. Beyond that I’ve not had any issues, yes it does take a wiggle and a good pull but not had one get stuck to any extent. I would try the WD40 tip from above and I’d suggest to use 2 sets of grips, 1 on each side so you have try to twist it very slightly (hard to do by hand).

Good luck !

When you do get it apart I'd suggest a liberal smear of silicone grease on all the plastic contacting surfaces (not the electrical contacts) before you put it back together. I do the same on my hub drive bike and it pops apart with a little wiggle and a tug.

Hi this is the state of the connector as it is now the bike motor won’t turn now so one of the wire is either broken or loose I’m thinking of just cutting it off but don’t know which way the wires will go back together if I do any help would be greatly appreciated as usual

It would help greatly, if you named the bike, and the motor fitted, also what year the bike was made. Post photos of th motor, the controller and display, the whole bike so folk can best help

Sounds like you've separated contact with one of more wires in the connector. I would search the internet for the brand of motor to see if the connector and wire ends are available.

If this search fails, then an alternative connector from another ebike motor will need to be spliced in.

When I have connections like this I use heat shrink to cover the connection. Alternatively which is very good, self amalgamating tape, which chemically seals against itself when half wrapped around a wire or connector

Thank you I will try and take pics of it all when I have time and put them on here

There are some weird connectors around - but if people knew the equipment it is connected to then maybe someone has seen one before and knows how it is supposed to work

and that would inform you as to how to apply any force needed - applying force without that is likely to do more damage than good

and would also inform if any replacements parts are needed

I was hoping to be able to just find out what colour of wires are connected to what pin in the connector or it was say red to red ext then cut and put a different connector on

If you're replacing both halves of the connector you won't need to know pin numbers, and in the event that the colours aren't the same each side of the join, you can test that once you've cut it off.
