Can't spell, Can't Punctuate....Sue Me
Did a new cycle route today but confused by the distance.

i have two computers - one a GPS on my phone using Sportypal - the other is my cycle computer.

Sportypal GPS tells me the distance was 37miles
Bike Computer tells me the distance was 47miles

sat here on my laptop tapped the route into bike route toaster and it also tells me 37miles

i am confused because i have the settings right on the bike computer, but why is it so far out on mileage?????

Maybe they're set up like car speedos, my sat nav always reads slower than the car speedo!
How have you set it up? From the standard dimensions in the instruction book? Have you tried putting your weight on the bike and then rotating the wheel until the valve is at the bottom, mark the ground with chalk and then push the bike forward, with your weight still on it, one full revolution. Mark the ground again, then measure this distance.
Mine was different to the standard settings, not by much, but I suppose it would add up to quite a bit.

Had you reset the computer before setting off?
10 mile difference is a lot, would expect the to be a little different but nowhere near that.

Seems that there was a problem with the sensor and magnet as the computer will still reading speed and distance when the bike was stationary

reset everything and now its all reading ok......i hope
