My wife has just got back from her first bike ride in 40 years
The Pendleton brook has been waiting in the garage for the nerves to subside for a couple of weeks but today she cracked it.
Just up the road and back for 20 minutes or so, might have been longer but she got a bit spooked by the car overtaking when she was going past a parked car (he gave her plenty of room but she will get used to it)

Well done to your wife. I have just persuaded my wife to start cycling. Brought an old MTB for £30 and we have been out on the old railway line all a bit wobble as she didn't ride much as a child but hopefully she'll take to it
