Complaint to TFL

Hi,

I sent an email complaint to TFL and received the following response :-

Dear Mr

I am writing in response to the complaint you made about the driver of a bus on route 115.

I was sorry to learn of the events you described, such poor driving was not acceptable. The driver concerned has been interviewed by his garage manager and recalled the occasion and that he was not pleased that his driving skill had been queried. As a result appropriate action has been taken under our disciplinary procedure and covert driving observations will be arranged as a follow up.

Please accept our apologies for any upset caused.

Is this a standard response or a genuine resolution.

I'd guess it's either genuine or it's "bring your child to work" day, but I'm going purely on the basis that a standard response would have been used many times and therefore would have been proofread by someone with a basic grasp of grammar

I made a complaint before but the response to me seemed the 'standard no.1' reply so to speak - i.e. no specifics.

But this reply - well my interpretation is that the Driver remembered not being happy me querying his driving and that they will secretly monitor his driving.

Wait till the next time another bus driver cant wait behind you for a few seconds till you go past his bus stop but rather has to go past you and then swing infront of you and stop. Shoudnt be long - probably the next time you go out - and write in and complain again and see what response you get this time.

Yeah that was my interpretation too. If hey genuinely do it, it's quite a forward thinking policy!

That is exactly what happened.
