Compact chainset for 9 speed

My winter bike currently has an old 9 speed Dura Ace set up with an Shimano Octalink 52/39 double chainset. It works perfectly but I'd like to match the chainset to the compact double 50/34 that I have on my summer bike.

I know I'll have to replace the bottom bracket too, but will any compact double work or do I have to get one specifically designed to work with a 9 speed chain?

Anyone will do. That 9/10 speed rubbish is the manufacturers attempt to part you from your hard earned wedge.

Any reason not to order it? I was expecting to pay around £75 and as this is half price, it seems a good buy.

I've not used an FSA chainset, but they come as standard equipment on many bikes and I have never heard a reason that they shouldn't.
