Wow, this is depressing, it's 6.25am, I've had my breakfast and now I am merely waiting for it to be light enough to go out without lights on for a gentle 85 miler.

How about we forward a motion for summer to return?

Waiting for sun in Chesvegas, 90 miles to Skeggy today, but seems just a nasty crosswind to blight us and slate grey Victorian skies.

By the way, bit of an epic fail for me today. Thought as the weather in the west was looking so grim I thought I would slip on the winter baselayer and my new altura crosslite jacket. little did I realize it is already 18 degrees and very humid. I'm sat in a coffee shop dripping with sweat!

So only a cheeky 30 miler today, lesson learned.

I'm still in bed with a cup of tea with a box set of House MD, might go out on the bike this afternoon. I'm definately not a morning person, how do other cyclists motivate themselves?

I've got to go to the office  , will cycle, I wouldn't recommend this as motivation though

Humid's not the word for it, I pushed all the blankets off the bed last night and slept under the just the sheet. They're saying we'll be hit by the tail end of Hurricane Katia by Monday: certainly feels like it.

The sun is trying to peep through here in my part of Essex. I am gradually getting ready to go out for a couple of hours.

I find the earlier the better, wake up at 6, do 30/40 miles and get back before 9, still have the whole day ahead. I can't motivate myself in afternoons and I always find something else to do. Anything but cycling!

Sun broke through during a 20 mile spin sneaked in earlier before it was time to ferry children to dancing, football etc. Warm/humid in the Kentish riviera this morning making it a bit sweaty up the hills
