No, but I had a walk-on part on Blue Peter when I was a kid. I didn't get to stroke Shep though.

I'd love to do it, though. I think it's great!

I think I saw you Morty...weren't you in the background when they cut to Percy Thrower in the Blue Peter Garden?

I applied to go on it. There's a £1K prize and the standard of cooking is so dire that I figured it was a shoo-in if I could get on the programme. They rang me back and the conversation was very strange - all they really wanted to know was how bitchy I was prepared to be about the other contestants when interviewed in the taxi. I didn't get on...

My kids started watching it and I hated it, but slowly it does win you over and the commenator bloke is brilliant.
There was some bloke from sunny Basingstoke on there but sadly the chap died just after filming - but they still put the program out anyway!

It is good in the way it shows another side of people and their true character comes out over the course of the week.

Some wierd egos required... to want to expose your worst personality traits in public... and have your house trashed by total strangers? Odd, very odd!

My son loves it... but then he could burn water.

Definitely best as a spectator sport, but then I've never had the slightest urge to make a prat of myself just to get on the telly. I'll leave that to others.

The show is great and is the only type of 'reality TV' that I can get along with, primarily because the narrator is just so funny and sarcastic at times!

I'm not surprised TC that they asked you those questions as it strikes me as the kind of thing that ups the ratings and is of production value.

Mrs Donkey loves it. I can see the initial attraction and the voice over man is great but the episodes are very samey to watch more than a couple.

Surprising...

 I might be imagining it, as I'm only an occasional viewer, but I get the feeling it's gone the same way as most reality shows - starting out as a fairly interesting experiment and ending up as an engineered conflict, played for pure Schadenfreude. And I'm sure the cooking has got worse and worse...

He was a few years below me at school and his father cuts my mum's hair. I don't think the family had any objections to the programme going out by the way.
