I apologise in advance if this topic has been covered before.

My goal next year if possible is to try and have a go at riding some of the famous climbs in the alps over a period of a few days. For example the Col du Galibier, Telegraphe and Alpe d' huez.
How would someone with no real climbing experience train for these type of climbs. I live in Gloucestershire so are there any good climbs in South Wales for example?
Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

I've done a good few of them and I just do hard hilly rides for training. I rarely ride more than 35 miles but include a few steepish climbs. I live in Brighton and there's nothing longer than a mile around here, so repetition is the best bet. ,
Incidentally, when I did the Galibier I took it very easy up the Telegraphe so I had something left.
