Cofidis, what is the point?

Looking at their current roster and their showing in the past few years, how do they continue to get top tier status?

And why do they exist? They seem to just "be" rather than "do"

Reasonably long history for a cycle team these days.

yep, they were dropped from the top tier for poor results a few years back and race at pro continental level now.

Mind you, just looking: Lotto Bellisol were founded in 1985. Positively ancient.

Yes, Continental level now - apologies for my "top tier" in the OP. They are just awful. There are many much more deserving teams out there.

It's an anomaly that they get a wild card to the Tour every year.
Trek are also a pretty anonymous team these days, Cancellara apart. The money that they're paying the Schleck's must be a source of irritation.

Apart from the tendonitis again the poor old bloke has now got a punctured lung.
I suppose if he recovers from all that and comes second in the Tour of Utah he'll be on course to win the Vuelta again
