Hi, my husband is the cyclist. He is type 2 diabetic and perspires a lot caused by his medication. What is the best shirt to wear to prevent/wick perspiration and also keep warm in cold weather. Your help would be appreciated as he is getting really despondent and he not easy to live with!!!

A merino wool base layer should wick the sweat away from the body.

If money is an issue Decathlon do a modern version if the old string vest in modern fabric and it costs around a tenner. Summer or winter worn under regular cycle kit ( even basic stuff) it really helps wick sweat away. Now I know why TdF riders wear string vestiges under their kit even on the hottest days. Worth a punt.

DHB merino baselayers are good
