I'm not one for 'fashion', but my current crop of clothes that are 'ok' to cycle in are quite boring (or horribly high-vis).

Cycling is my main form of transport; so I'd like to expand my wardrobe into 'things that I can cycle in but still look like a normal human'.

I already know about minx girl; who I bought a lovely skort from last year, but am looking for variety in the 'top' department.

Any suggestions?

To complicate matters:

Manmade fibres tend not to get on very well with me ;)
I also have a strong ethical bent and would like things made sustainably with a decent supply chain policy...

And, of course, I'm a girl (if the title didn't give it away).

Winter wardrobe is boring ... I need layers to keep me warm - I get muddy/messy etc so don't want to get "good" clothes in that state. Come summertime - I wear lots of tops mostly non technical, and shorts etc.

My daughter recently went to a fair trade fashion show and came back with lots of different company flyers including one for Wombat

I quite like the bike t-shirt - Mr Summerdays bought the mens version though so I probably won't buy it.

I quite like the longer style of tops (down to my thighs) for dressing up and going out on the bike, but tend to wear just normal T-shirts most of the time (having carefully checked out the length at the back in the changing rooms. I often thing if anyone was watching they would think me really weird - pretending to bend forward to reach invisible handlebars or sitting down making pedalling motions:biggrin:.

Ta, I'll keep an eye out for Wombat. When it's properly summery I normally get away with strappy tops and so on (not cycle specific at all); but this not too cold not too warm thing is a bit more problematic! (especially the 'actually quite hot when wearing the waterproof jacket' weather).

Also, most of my wardrobe is horribly boring as it seems to congregate to plain colours....

I too have the problem of when I do find good things I get some for Mr Savagehoutkop and for myself. We have matching chocolatefishmerino goodies and it looks quite sad when we go out on the bikes together  At least his bike is red while mine is black....

I bought a load of hemp T-shirts and sweat shirts (or more like long-sleeved T's really) last summer for casual cycling like trips to town and out in the evening. They seem to be much nicer than 100% cotton when a bit sweaty as the material is slightly 'rough' textured (but feels nicely soft) so doesn't clag to your skin like damp cotton. There were many different colours and styles and they even get to look better as they wash/wear

ooh, thanks. I have a hemp shirt already that I picked up somewhere and it is good for not getting hot. Haven't cycled in it much though as it's a bit too small so it's tight across the shoulders...
