Shimano M520 pedals http://www.highonbikes.com/drivetra...gclid=CMGkvoXs27ICFSTHtAodBhUAFg#.UGd3DFEw_Sg and some sort of SPD shoe in your size and price range - depends what sort of look you want - on a hybrid, probably something more MTB than blingy road?

i think i'd rather have the road bike look, the Boardman hybrid is far from anything like a mountain bike, apart from the straight handlebars lol

SPD-SL pedals £27.99

SPD-SL shoes £44.99

Both the above are for well regarded brand new products, cheaper options are available if you shop around but may be a false economy over time.

Failing that now you know what you're looking for pick some second hand gear up off eBay

[EDIT] cross posted the same shoes there as blade1889

mtb system is for riders who may have to walk with their bike to the road like me,the cleats tend not to get damaged as a spd system could,i use shimano pedals and semi flashy specialized shoes with cleats, why would it make your boardman look any different than what it is,set up correctly they do me well no problems, same as a couple chaps i ride with!

Right.

I agree, teh M520s would be a bit "off road" for a Boardman. I however used these PD A520 , which a) look more like road pedals, but b) are a SPD system, which means you can wear MTB style shoes, ie with recessed cleats.

They're 30 quid at Ribble, and you can sell them on for more or less what you paid for them if you don't like them. Much preferable to SPD_SL IMHO.
