Hi,
I've just bought the Topeak Aero Wedge and on the back it has a slot designed to clip a light on. I do lots of long rides and drink plenty of liquid so I was wondering if I could somehow get a clip on bottle cage or attach one to the rear handle?

This means I could carry more bottles and not have any in my jersey which is quite uncomfortable and annoying on longer rides for me.

Thanks.

Not as far as I know and doubt it would be secure anyway, but you can buy water bottle holders that fasten on to your bars or the back of the saddle itself designed to carry one or two bottles. Some of the lads I ride with from a triathlon club use them so I do know they exist.

Look at Rixen and Kaul's 'Bottle click' and Monkii Cage. Both are systems for attaching extra water bottles onto the bike securely. Exactly how many bottles are you carrying? In the UK you're never far from a source of water .....

Problem is that I use a saddlebag so I haven't got any room for a bottle under the saddle (unless it attaches to the actual saddlebag)
I don't use just water on my rides. I tend to mix stuff into it. I only carry one bottle (another one for the Airzound) with drinks and would like to carry more on the bike. Is there anywhere a handlebar bottle cage mount would suit a road bike?

Well if you use a saddlebag and also want an additional water bottle, this one is up your street:-

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/...gclid=CMHy7f-jusYCFdQZtAodbwEDCg&gclsrc=aw.ds

Also consider what some of the lads I know do, fix a double water bottle holder on your saddle rails, carry one water bottle as normal in one bottle holder and also a plastic storage bin in the other bottle holder holding spare innertubes, tools, puncture repair kit etc

http://www.amazon.co.uk/PRO-Bikegear-PR100331-Storage-Bottle/dp/B0027JVMJU

Or fix a double bottle holder on your seat, a double on your bars, then you can carry three extra water bottles, one storage bottle with tools etc and Airzound.

Or buy a Carradice saddlebag, load it with lots of bottles, tools etc, and as you use your main one replace it with one from the saddlebag.

Or stick a Hydration system bladder in the saddlebag with the drinking tube over your shoulder, or just stick a Camelbak on your back.

And if you have been carrying water bottles in your shirt, carry tools innertubes etc in your shirt instead, dump the saddlebag and carry two extra bottles on the back of your seat.

But on very hot days if I think if it could be a distance between towns etc to effect a water resupply, I carry a couple of additional 500ml water bottles in my shirt pockets from the shop and they don't feel uncomfortable

There's always a way.
